Les Goudes

Les Goudes is the next-but-last village comprising the city of Marseille, and is set to the south-east of the city just next to Callelongue and the start of the Massif des Calanques. Home to a still-active fishing port, Les Goudes is a typical Marseille quarter boasting a great quality of life – and the summer crowds are there to prove it! With its little cove ideal for sunbathing, numerous footpaths heading up into the Massif de Marseilleveyre hills, flat rocks where you can soak up the sunshine, bars and restaurants with picture-postcard views over the open sea and islands of Tiboulen, Maïre and Riou, Les Goudes offers a genuine taste of the good life in both summer and winter. Traffic can get very dense at times with traffic jams in summer as people return from the beaches, but this little village is a haven of peace most of the year.
