The Côte Bleue coast

Sky blue, azure blue, royal blue... Never mind the hue, we're only here for the view! And the views along this stretch of coast from Marseille to Martigues are simply breathtaking... The Côte Bleue coast really has just as much to offer as the Massif des Calanques: the same coastal footpaths overlooking the Med, the same little fishing ports with their pretty little cottages, and the same chalky cliffs dotted with pine trees. You could even say this place has an extra je ne sais quoi – perhaps a gentler atmosphere. So just take your pick: a walk in Méjean fjord, sunbathing in Niolon fjord, sea urchin hunting at Carry-le-Rouet, strutting in Sausset-les-Pins, or rolling in the sand at Carro Plage! And if you want proof that this site is truly exceptional, the "Conservatoire du Littoral" (Coastal Conservation Society) has bought up 7,500 acres of land there, plus two protected maritime zones.
