Office de Tourisme du Massif des Costes

Pélissanne - Tourist office

Located on the banks of the River Touloubre, Pélissanne is a surprising village laid out in the form of a snail’s shell. Although it is a major crossroads, none of the roads penetrate into the heart of the village. There are fine rustic-style 17th century houses and a 15th century belfry.

Figs

Figs

Candied Fruit

Candied Fruit

A gourmet treat…

Provence has been famed for its candied fruit from time immemorial. In the early 16th century, the region was fairly impoverished. Fruit grew here in abundance, but much of it was lost every year.
