Puyloubier, medieval village and its wines - Secrets d'ici
Puyloubier - Guided tour - From April 1st to October 31st on Saturday at 2.30pm (except July 16th)
Going up in the streets of the medieval village of Puyloubier, discover the atmosphere and characteristics of a small medieval town. These lands belonged to the Viscount of Marseille before being sold to the XI monks pioneers of the abbey of St. Victor.
They are cultivated vines and their wine came even to the lips of King René. This feudal village organized around its castrum and its Romanesque church has settled on the former oppidum Salyen. The olive crop is also part of the village and you will have the opportunity to visit the ancient oil mill of the XVII where the items are kept in the manufacture of olive oil (wheels, Press chapel, mats, wall force, etc.).
It keeps its authenticity since with these dark and damp alleys and small squares in the shelter of the trees. In the twentieth century, Puyloubier will get the price of "modern village". Its mayor will actually take comfort in Puyloubier cities. Water, electricity fairy ...
A small revolution for Puyloubier which then becomes a model to follow.
This visit is only in french.
Departure from Puyloubier Town Hall.
