Depuis 50 ans, Jacques Moniquet fabrique des bijoux en argent. Ses créations sont le produit de la technique précise du forgeron, associées à l' imaginaire toujours renouvelé de l'artiste. Le résultat est une oeuvre intemporelle, limpide et forte. L'artisan construit son objet sachant la souplesse et la résistance du métal. Le coup de marteau est juste. L'ensorcellement de l'anneau de Moebius, le plissage hasardeux du métal qui s'écrase, les noeuds qui s'entremêlent révèlent la précision de cette recherche. Un bijou Moniquet se reconnaît, car, il est marqué par une démarche toujours apparente. Son unicité s'inscrit dans un projet esthétique où se mêlent l'art contemporain, les rochers des Alpilles, le rêve de ce qui est lisse, de ce qui est tordu, de ce qui se répète, dans une profonde originalité.
