Les jardins de l'Espérance

La Ciotat - Park / garden

Les Jardins de l’Espérance
The "Jardins de l’Éspérance" association manages a 2-acre educational garden at the entrance to La Ciotat, near the A50 highway exit. Children can come here to learn how to make compost, use gardening tools, sow seeds, prune, graft, discover nature and plants, and learn how to cherish them... Divided into three separate terraces, the garden has also developed a variety of tools and itineraries for the visually-handicapped and disabled, to allow them to make the most of this exceptional environment. Innovations include the "Abécédaire" invented by children: a short walk amid plants with remarkable fragrances and textures. All labels are in braille and the itinerary is suitable for wheelchairs. A wonderful experience for youngsters and older visitors alike.
