Vasarely Foundation

Aix en Provence - Cultural place

Architectonic center of Aix-en-Provence and classified historical monument.

Immerse yourself in the fascinating universe of optical art in the heart of the luminocinetic building imagined, conceived and financed by Victor Vasarely.

Sixteen hexagonal-based modules, embedded in a massive construction set, feature 42 monumental architectural integrations.
Made of anodized metal, tapestry, ceramics, enamels and screen-printed glass, these works are the result of a fruitful collaboration between the visual artist, architects and companies, with the aim of creating the polychrome city of happiness.
Guided tours in French on Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30 pm (+ 3 euros on adult rate). Guided tours in English and Hungarian on reservation (+ 3 euros on adult rate). Booklets for the visit available in French, English, German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Hungarian, Chinese and Portuguese.

Temporary exhibitions, workshops, concerts, conferences as well as cultural mediation actions punctuate throughout the year its programming.

The foundation also offers to organize the birthday of your child and introduce them to the place through a visit and a workshop on Wednesday.
