Distillerie Sainte Victoire
Vauvenargues - Producer
Magali and Christophe Mallesson are organic farmers based in Vauvenargues, traditional producers-distillers of aromatic and medicinal plants (common lavender, lavandula hybrida, spike lavender, thyme, rosemary, helichrysum italicum, savory).
Their farm, stretching over some fifteen hectares of land at the heart of the Sainte-Victoire massif, produces high quality essential oils. They are proud to represent the Pays d'Aix, its local land, its natural and landscaped heritage, to showcase the region's identity and promote and develop their range of products through direct sales and short supply chains.
They can be found all year round on Aix-en-Provence market, Place Richelme (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturday mornings), in July/August on Aix's evening market and in November/December among the 'Christmas Chalets' on Cours Mirabeau.
Individual visitors or small groups are also welcome to visit the farm all year round (outside market times), with or without an appointment. The visit can also include a presentation of the activity, depending on the visitors' wishes. The distillery is located in the private grounds of the Château de Vauvenargues and cannot be visited but it is possible to see the fields in flower in the first two weeks of July, during the course of a pleasant walk lasting around 1½ hours (Vallon du Délubre), far from the tourist crowds.
