Karen Ann & Irène Jacob - Where are you?
Arles - Gastronomie - Tuesday 8 March 2022 between 8.30 pm and 10 pm.
In the spring of 2020, prevented from seeing each other like the rest of the world, Keren Ann in Paris and Irène Jacob in the Cévennes began a conversation that they made visible and audible on lnstagram.
The principle is simple: every Sunday evening, Keren Ann, often accompanied by a guitar, sings a song from her repertoire to which Irène responds with a text in the form of poetry. When we finally find a semi-balance, Irène and Keren Ann ask themselves how to prolong this discussion, the idea is to remain in a digital space to be able to be heard, since the rooms are, until further notice, closed. The idea of a podcast recorded live was born gradually, and very quickly accompanied by the title Où es-tu?
These immobile journeys, which they record side by side, imagining themselves so far away from each other in order to better find each other, make them rediscover the instincts of the stage, the halls will reopen one day, right?
