L'association des Amis du Festival d'art lyrique d'Aix-en-Provence propose une conférence animée par Jean-Claude Langain, salle Armand Lunel.
1re partie : des origines à 1840
Beaucoup d'entre vous se sont certainement demandé en entendant un orgue dans une église comment cet instrument pouvait produire un son à peine audible et l'instant d'après faire trembler les piliers de la nef par sa puissance. on vous propose donc d'aller à la découverte du "roi des instruments", de suivre ses transformations des origines à nos jours, de retrouver ses plus grands interprètes et ses plus belles pages. La conférence est consacrée à l'orgue de ses origines à 1840.
