Expressions de fin d'année
Aix-en-Provence - Photographie - From 4 December 2020 to 15 January 2021 - Free
Now in its 19th year, Phot'Aix invites visitors to explore contemporary Austrian photography.
During the Festival, five Austrian photographers will be exhibited face to face with five French photographers at the Zola gallery in the Aix-en-Provence Cité du Livre:
Michaela Bruckmüller, Danse Macabre / Oiseau Noir and Bénédicte HANOT, Nature Vivante
Michael Michlmayr, Espace de Temps and Gérard Staron, Sceno 1 Paysage
Werner Schuster, X-Ray and Muhanad Baas, Botanix
Helmut Steinecker, Serpentes and Philippe De Crest, Neverland
Hans Wetzelsdorfer, Intériorisation de la Lumière and Michel Kirch, Inner Light
Simultaneously with the "Regards Croisés" exhibition, from 4 October to 10 November, the Fontaine Obscure is organising a series of exhibitions in the streets of Aix-en-Provence in the form of a themed visit: "Les Voyages Immobiles", "L'Amour" and "Vanité", as well as a special exhibition of Austrian photographers. This crucial event in the Aix cultural landscape takes place in a spirit of exchange, highlighting the work of famous or lesser-known artists. Photography focusing on proximity and going out to meet the public. A chance to visit the town and explore the urban environment and art in a friendly atmosphere.
PHOT'AIX, Photography Festival, organised in Aix-en-Provence by La Fontaine Obscure, aims to take up a double challenge:
- To promote contemporary photography by fostering encounters between French and overseas artists as part of the international exhibition "Regards Croisés"
- To bring photography into the street and help new talents to emerge, by organising Thematic Photographic Visits in and around Aix-en-Provence.
