Pays salonais and its chateaux, heritage and wine

Pays Salonais makes a great family day out with plenty of fun and original things to do. After a deliciously simple lunch prepared by the chef at the Table du Roy, follow the road to the ruins of a village destroyed by an earthquake at the turn of the 20th century. In the afternoon, why not head to the zoo? It's the biggest one in the region and runs a programme to protect endangered species. Then make you way to the Marius Fabre Museum to learn all about how genuine Marseille soap is made.

Marseille, cultural city break

This two-day tour will take you on a tour of discovery of Marseille, European Capital of Culture 2013. Setting out from the Old Port, on foot, by ferry or by bus, you'll get to see the city's rich cultural heritage through its many museum and cultural centres: the MuCEM, Regards de Provence, the Cantini, the Borély, the MAC, Friche Belle de Mai, Cité Radieuse by Le Corbusier and the Mamo. Before leaving or after your cruise from Marseille, spend a weekend getting to know the surprising new face of the city.
