Barbentane - Heritage day - In September - Dates and program to be confirmed
The Tourist Office and the Mairie de Barbentane organize a weekend dedicated to our local resources on the occasion of this European event.Some monuments closed to the public the rest of the year will be exceptionally open: visit the Bell Tower of the Church (on Saturday and Sunday from 10 h to 18 h, free admission), the hotel of the Barons of Chabert (current Town Hall) and the old prison (on Sunday from 10 h to 17 h, free admission).Historians of the Tourist Office will share their passion for the village during accompanied hiking tours on Saturday and Sunday at 11: 00, 15 h and 16 h. You will thus discover the past and the present of Barbentane, as well as its heritage. Saturday 14 at 11.00 visit will focus "The unsung suburbs".On Sunday, the equestrian know-how of our common will be forward with rides in horse-drawn carriages and ponies.The streets of Barbentane thus will appear you in a new light thanks to these faithful mounts (€1 for children, € 2 for adults).On Sunday afternoon, the workshop "around the Earth" will offer animations around the santons and heritage. Lively workshops will take place before the pop-up on the course. Participants can make topics in Earth from molds, depending on the method of manufacture of santons, and will carry with them their production. Each workshop will last about 30 minutes and will include 8 registered (€1 for children, € 2 for adults).The new collection of Denis Martin, which traces the history of the Hospital de Barbentane in the 18th and 19th centuries will be available for sale for the heritage days, at a price of 4 euros.On the occasion of this publication, Mr. Martin will be present at the Tourist Office and will sign his work, Saturday from 10: 00 to 11: 00 and on Sunday from 11: 00 to 12:30.More commonly known as hospice or public retirement home, hospital and its history are important witnesses to the life of the village during the centuries mentioned in the book.Accompanied tours, equestrian strolls and facilitated workshops, the booking is mandatory.Information and registration at the Tourist Office: Tel: 04-90-90-85-86 E-mail: email@example.com Sunday at 5: 30 pm in the church Our Lady of the Graces, just close the heritage days with a concert with the trio BESOZZI.
