Le Déjeuner Provençal - Food'Aix

Aix en Provence - Local food producer - September 22 from 12.30pm to 2.30pm

Food'Aix will again be opening its temporary restaurant in the shade of the plane trees in Jourdan Park and serving visitors a Provençal Lunch.

Three chefs have combined the tastes of Provence and come up with a 100 % regional menu: René Bergès (La Table de Beaurecueil), Nicolas Bottero (Le Mas Bottero in Saint-Cannat) and Joan Sampietro (Il était une fois in Aix-en-Provence).

All through the lunch, a winemaker will be on hand to share his or her passion for wine and introduce you to some of their best wines.

The menu:

Starter by René Bergès: sardine mousse with mild spices, artichokes à la barigoule, candy apple juice, toasted French bread rubbed with Aix olive oil.

Main dish by Nicolas Bottero: Provence lamb shanks with “mendiant” fruits, Provençal tian with thyme

Dessert by Joan Sampietro: fig tart, sangria coulis with lime
