Aix en Provence - History - Sciences - Technology - [ Postponed to the first half of July ] to September 20th / Tuesday to Sunday - 12pm till 6pm (from June 2nd - 10am till 7pm

The Musée Granet has one of the biggest collections of Ancient Egyptian art. There are over 150 outstanding items, alongside some major pieces on loan from the Louvre. The exceptional 5-month exhibition features major pieces such as bas-reliefs from the Great Pyramid of Giza, several excellent tablets, a sarcophagus and its mummy, the extraordinary mummified Nile monitor and, among other huge items, the royal colossus of the Ramses pharaoh dynasty. The exhibition will feature several digital devices, suitable for all ages and exploring major Egyptian themes. The visit will be rounded off with Ubisoft's "Assassin's Creed" game to play on consoles. Private collectors and prestigious museums including those of Glasgow, Copenhagen and Turin will also be lending items to the Musée Granet for the exhibition. Reconstruction of a pharaoh's tomb.
