What is a cookie?
Cookies are small files saved to your hard disk by our server or, if relevant, a third party server. They are always enabled and allow efficient site functioning. They allow us, in particular, to recognize users from one visit to the next thanks to an individual ID. Cookies are administered on your computer by your Internet browser.
We differentiate two types of cookies: cookies issued by Provence Tourisme and cookies issued by third party websites at our request.
Cookies issued by third party websites are deposited and controlled by third party companies, not Provence Tourisme. These cookies are designed, in particular, to target your centres of interest in view of the various pages you consult on our website, in order to customize advertising offers presented by other brands.
Why do we use cookies?
We use cookies to improve your browsing experience. In concrete terms, that means we use them to remember your preferences (in particular to improve loading times). This information can be stored for a session and/or for future visits.
Cookies also allow us to remember pop-in or pop-up elements you have already seen, so you don't have to view them again (e.g. media overlays).
Cookies also allow the collection of statistics on website pages visited by users, the frequency of visits to certain pages and general website use. They allow us to improve site ergonomics and connect you to social networks to share our content. Data retrieved by cookies is entirely anonymous and does not contain any personal information. We use advertising cookies to learn about your browsing habits on our site and suggest results adapted to your searches and expectations.
Provence Tourisme uses 2 advertising cookies
- a behavioural remarketing and retargeting service provided by Google Inc., which connects website activity to the Adwords advertising network,
- a behavioural remarketing and retargeting service provided by Facebook Inc., which connects website activity to the Facebook advertising network.
What DO WE NOT use cookies for?
We do not store any sensitive personal data such as your password, address, banking details, etc. in our cookies. We do not sell any information collected by cookies. They are solely used for the purpose of websites managed by Provence Tourisme.
Cookie data is retrieved anonymously and does not contain any personal data. Cookies are not in any way similar to spyware.
Cookies are not viruses and cannot damage your computer.
Who uses cookie data?
Data stored by cookies on minelli.fr is solely used by us, with the exception of cookies deposited by third parties at our request, in the aim of collecting data to improve your browsing experience.
